Welcome to my photography page, here’s a little bit more about me, the girl behind the camera!
I grew up and spent most of my life in Tewksbury, MA, and I now live in Billerica, MA. I went to college in NH where I got a bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing. I spent the first 9 years out of college working at a sales job in the commercial and residential lighting industry. I focused mostly on working closely with designers and architects to choose lighting solutions for their projects. During these 9 years, I gained tremendous experience with working with people, as well as developing a keen eye for good lighting and how lighting can affect our every day lives.
I met my now husband about 7 years into working at that sales job and I knew he was the one. I started picturing my life with him and what our future might look like. I envisioned myself becoming a wife, and a mom, and spending all the time I could with my kids creating a dream family life. Well…I couldn’t picture all this and maintain my full-time sales job, so something needed to change.
I’ve always had this passion for photographing things (*not always people, that came later). I started posting some photos here and there on Facebook, and I was gaining some limited and surprising attention for my photos. Finally, one of my long time friends asked me to take their Christmas photos utilizing a vintage green truck as a prop. I took the green truck photos, and she loved them so much that she posted them online, and the rest is history.
I soon realized that I had an increasingly strong passion for photography, and it was right about this time that I committed to learning more about how to become a real photographer. This was the dream for me! I could both run my own business as a photographer, as well as control my life schedule to spend lots of time with my family.
With the full support of my husband AJ, I started Jennifer Hunte Photography from the ground up. I invested in lots of photography equipment, and computer hardware and software, to allow for professional editing of photos, this was a game changer. My two sons Dougie and Jaxon are not the best helpers yet for a Mom running a small business, but I love the family time I get to spend with them around my photography schedule.
My absolute favorite thing in the world is being able to capture timelines in your life. The memories and milestones that my camera has seen brings tears to my eyes. I am honored to take your photos and give you memories that you will have for the rest of your life.
